It consists of some arrangements of the music by Gurdjieff/de Hartmann. Much of the music which Gurdjieff collected on his travels were songs, but without lyrics. Christene Bauden has written new words inspired by the melodies and titles of some of the compositions. She sings them on this CD. Dorine Tolley plays some of the authentic movements music and also an improvisation of her own.
The contents are:
Alleluia, Song of the Fisherwomen, Canon of Seven, The Fall of the Priestess, Slow Second Obligatory, The Story of the Resurrection of Christ, Walking Prayer, Essentuki Prayer, Assyrian Women Mourners, Orthodox Midnight Hymn, The Trembling Dervish.
